ARC Academy
ARC Academy was established in 1986. More than 1,000 students from over 40 countries study at our schools in Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Yokohama, Osaka and Kyoto, which are all located close to their respective train stations. Our educational philosophy is to help students acquire communication ability and improve 5 skills in Japanese; not only reading, writing, speaking and listening but also thinking. As well as intensive course and pre-college course, we also offer various curricula to meet students’ needs, such as going on to higher education, finding a job, preparing for proficiency tests etc. Information on dormitories and homestay accommodation is provided and regular school events take place for your comfortable and enjoyable life in Japan.

Summary of Japanese Courses
Pre-college Course
780,000 yen / 1 year
Learn Japanese systematically for 6 to 24 months staying on a pre-college visa. Special classes for going to a graduate school or to learn business Japanese are provided and we will help you for your future plan. Optional lessons to prepare for proficiency tests are offered for free. Various events are included and we fully support you for your life in Japan.
Intensive Japanese Course
85,000 yen / 4 weeks
Learn useful Japanese intensively for a short period of time. The course develops your four language skills with special emphasis on speaking and listening for more natural and more fluent Japanese. There are set courses from 4 weeks to 3 months but it is possible to join in the middle or continue to the following term. Students with different background make it possible to exchange opinions from different points of view.
JLPT Preparation Course
45,000 yen / 10 times
Learn efficient techniques for Japanese Language Proficiency Test. The curricula are made analyzing past exams and you will learn grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing with a balance aiming to pass the test with high scores. The course is held on different days of the week and time to choose from. You can also take the course along with the Intensive Course.
Facilities
All our schools are conveniently located in the centre of town, approximately 5-minute walk away from the train stations. Classrooms are equipped with audio-visual devices and schools that have Pre-college Course have a library and information on higher education. Self-study room and free use of computer with internet access are offered at each school.
Accommodation, Dormitory
We provide information on students’ dormitories and guest houses according to your needs. Minimum duration is basically one month and there are single rooms from 50,000 yen and twin rooms from 30,000 yen. The rough standard time to the school is 30 minutes to 1 hour. There are cases that you can have a special offer when you make a reservation through ARC Academy. Homestay can be arranged at 4,200 yen per night. Please inquire about the duration.
Scholarship
Students in Pre-college Course are eligible for scholarship and incentives. The chance is given to students with high attendance rate and good records.

There is also incentive from ARC Academy for all the students with perfect attendance without being late for 6 months.
